Curriculum

Diego Begalli is Full Professor of Rural economics and appraisal. He is the Delegate of the University of Verona for knowledge transfer and relations with the territory.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Interuniversity Consortium INAS (National Institute of Agribusiness and Sustainability). He is a member of the evaluation commIttee of the University of Udine.
He is also a member of the scientific committees of the following journals: Food Economy; Scientific Papers Series “Economic Engineering in Agriculture and Rural Development”.
He is a member of the main scientific associations and academies for his disciplines such as Italian Society of Food Economics (SIEA); Study Centre of Appraisal and Territorial Economy (CeSET); International Academy of Sensory Analysis (IASA); Italian Academy of Vine and Wine.
He is the director of the Executive Master in Wine Business Management (CUOA Foundation).
He serves as a reviewer for several international scientific journals among which: British Food Journal, Journal of Wine Research, International Journal of Wine Business Research, Wine Economics and Policy, Euromed Journal of Business, Land Use Policy.
 
His main research interests are:
• agribusiness and food marketing;
• rural development and tourism.
His research has been published on international scientific journals in the field of agricultural economics and agri-food marketing.
His main contributions are published in international journals mainly in the following subject categories: Business, Management & Accounting; Economics, Econometrics & Finance; Social Sciences; Agricultural and Biological Sciences; Environmental Science.
 
Among “Third Mission” activities he is the responsible in several projects, supported by the Veneto Region, and focused on the internationalization, the education and the technological transfer of agro-food companies. He is also the responsible of agreements and contracts with companies and public and private institutions.
