Teaching strategies
Key qualifying elements of our teaching activities
CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TERRITORY, COMPANIES AND STAKEHOLDERS
Each program is thought and organized based on the dialogue among companies, local organizations and stakeholders that actively participate to the teaching projects.
HIGH DEGREE OF SERVICES FOR STUDENTS
The teaching activities are mostly provided by internal professors of the Department with the participation of professionals and expert. The student is at the centre of the education program and she/he is actively involved in the teaching activities.
BETTER IS MORE APPROACH
The Department has chosen to focalize and specialized its teaching programmes in order to match the skills and competencies with the needs coming from the territory and surrounding context. In doing so, the teaching programmes are selected and specialized in order to guarantee high quality standards.
The results of the teaching activities are demonstrated by the survey supplied by Almalaurea stating that after graduation more than 80% of the students find a job within one year form the graduation (Report Almalaurea, 2019).
The Department offers the largest number of courses in the university In Verona and Vicenza Campuses.
In particular, it offers the following degrees:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Innovation
- Master’s degree in Business Administration and Corporate Law
- Master’s degree in Marketing and Corporate Communication
- Master’s degree in Management and Strategy
Professors also teach on programmes run by other departments, essential for providing students in the more ‘traditional’ sectors (languages, computer science, law, food technology, oenology and healthcare) with innovative skills, and where managerial skills and entrepreneurial knowledge can be valuable assets.
In fact, the Department of Management regularly works in conjunction with the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Verona and the Agrarian Sciences campus of the University of Udine.
Further education
The Department of Management and the Department of Economics jointly run a PhD in Economics and Management. The Department encourages cooperation and exchanges for professors and students between other Italian and foreign universities.
The Department also offers specialised postgraduate education such as professionally-oriented Master I programmes and Advanced courses.
