The aim of the course is to provide the students with the essential tools to understand the main macroeconomic phenomena, as national income, economic growth, general prices consumption, investment, public expenditure and the level of employment. this Students will become gradually acquainted with the basic concepts of the national accounts and the main theoretical models, developed by economists to analyze an economic system. In particular, the focus will be kept on three main markets: the market of goods, of money and of labour with the links through which they mutually interact. Theoretical lectures will be alternated with practical and seminar lessons in order to guide students to the use of theory in empirical contexts
