The module aims to give an overview of the touristic phenomenon, in the wider perspective of destinations rather than only in the narrower perspective of the organizations involved in providing specific tourist services.
The touristic phenomenon will be first of all studied in its general aspects. After that the nature and the “functioning” of destinations as global touristic products will be investigated, together with some specific insights about the organizations involved. Finally, issues dealing with tourism quality will be addressed.
Oral examination to test both knowledge and critical analysis skills.
