The realization of profit and non-profit projects that entail long-term benefits for the community, needs huge amount of funds. The organizations involved must therefore deal with problems in the search for the necessary financial resources. The objective of the research group is to analyse the alternative ways of financing and mechanisms for the community’s engagement and to investigate the possible development of the business model of the organizations involved.The community will be investigated in two aspects. On the one hand, the community will be investigated as potential funders of the project, and, on the other hand, the community will be considered as a group of subjects directly involved with the project to be funded from the design phase to the management of the activities linked to the project.The research group has already partly achieved this goal by a first study focused specifically on two alternative business models: the crowdfunding and the cooperative model.The main publications of the group are the following:
