Sara Toniolo is temporary assistant professor at University of Verona. Previously she carried out research activities at the University of Padova as a postdoctoral fellow. She obtained the Doctorate in Industrial Engineering from the University of Padova in 2015.

The main research topics are:

  • Production and transformation processes
  • Life cycle based quantifications
  • Sustainability systems

She received the first award "Young LCA researchers" in 2019 at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Roma Tre. Since 2019 she has been a member of the Italian Academy of Commodity Sciences (AISME) and since 2021 Associate Editor of the scientific journal Environment, Development and Sustainability. She participates in the "Construction", "Waste" and "Tourist Services" working groups of the Italian LCA Network. Since 2022 she has been a member of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) and the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC).
