Overview

Course outline and objectives
The course offers advanced preparation in the subjects of economic and financial reporting, relations with tax authorities, institutional frameworks and corporate governance and performance measurement and evaluation.
The graduate will be able to prepare and analyse major company reports, translating the accounting data into strategic and operational decisions; apply performance measurement and evaluation methods; and design and verify controls on business processes.
These skills will be achieved through the study of subjects aimed at combining the interpretation of business concepts, supported by related measurement and reporting techniques, with knowledge of the legal arrangements essential to the management of complex organisations.
In addition to traditional instruction, the course provides applications, case studies and testimonies from representatives from businesses and the profession, at the same time offering opportunities for internships.

Areas of employment
The course, producing professionals equipped with the entry skills required, opens up the following possible employment opportunities: chartered accountant, management consultant, administrative officer/account manager, statutory auditor and internal auditor.
With regard to the profession of chartered accountant, please note that the course has an agreement with the “Ordine dei Dottori Commercialisti ed Esperti Contabili” (equivalent of the Association of Chartered Accountants). As a result of this agreement, students enrolled in the course can begin their chartered accountancy internship during their studies, without having to wait for graduation; moreover, at the State examination, the graduate is exempt from the first of the written tests.

From bachelor’s degree to master’s degree
Admission to the course requires possession of a Level B1 or higher certification from the CEFR system, or other equivalent certification, relating to knowledge of at least one language of the European Union other than Italian.
In view of the agreement, the curriculum prerequisites for admission to the course are agreed with the local Associations and are described in detail in the Academic Regulations. The Academic Regulations also provide the contents and procedures for verification of personal information.

Degree programme annual factsheet (SUA-CdS)

As part of the Quality Assurance system, complete, updated and easily available information on objectives, study plan, resources used and results achieved for each degree programme is made available through the SUA-CdS - Scheda Unica Annuale del Corso di Studio (Degree programme annual factsheet). This includes an Overview and three public sections (Learning Objectives, Student Experience, Learning Outcomes) which together provide a wide range of information about each degree programme. The SUA-CdS also contains an administrative section (Administration and Quality Management) that is for internal use only.

The Degree programme annual factsheet (SUA-CdS), which is currently available only in Italian, is a valuable tool that can be used by the University to design, implement and reorganise, as well as to evaluate, each degree programme. However, the SUA-CdS factsheet is also useful for students, to help them choose the right programme of study.
