Curriculum

Giovanni Goldoni is Associate Professor in Commodity Science at the University of Verona since 2005, where he previously served as Assistant Professor from 1994.
He graduated in Economics at the University of Modena in 1987; in 1989 he got a Master degree in Energy Economics at the Scuola Superiore Enrico Mattei in Milan.
He is member of the National Academy of Commodity Science since 2008; member of the Sustainability Commission of the University of Verona since 2010; member of the Scientific Committee of the Rivista Energia since 2014.
 
His research topics are:
  • electricity markets and natural gas markets
  • energy efficiency
  • energy transition
  • adoption of new technologies in services
He regularly publishes articles on Italian Scientific Journals concerning the interaction between market and regulation in the above research fields. He worked as a consultant for private firms and public bodies till 2004, being responsible of research projects on energy planning and market regulation in the energy sector.
