Curriculum

Flavio Pichler is Associate Professor of Financial markets and institutions (SECS-P/11) since 2006. He obtained the PhD in “Business Administration” at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in 1998. He is a member of the “Team AQ” for the Master’s degree’s course in “Banking and Finance” at the Department of Economics of the University of Verona.
 
His main research interests are:
  • Insurance management, risks, regulation and supervision;
  • Bank management, performance and regulation;
  • Risk management;
  • Theory, models and supervision of financial systems;
  • Crowdfunding.
His publications on these research topics are in the form of journal articles, book chapters and monographs.
In 2006, he was a member of the research unit participating in the PRIN project on “Cross-border and cross-sector concentration process of financial institutions in Europe”. The project was co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR).
In 2002, he was a member of the research unit participating in the PRIN project on “Convergence on asset management in banking and insurance”. The project was co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR).
In 2000, he was a member of the research unit participating in the PRIN project on “Internal controls and external supervision on financial institutions and insurance companies”. The project was co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR).
 
Within the “Third Mission”, he holds lessons in the “Preparation course for Chartered Accountants and Statutory Auditors” of the University of Verona.
